Skinny Atlas is a nowhere kid from nowhere town. "I made this song with two close friends, Snøw and Jomie, during some of my toughest years struggling with depression," reflects Skinny Atlas. "For some reason, it helped me cope to create an instrumental that’s largely made up of emptiness; it seemed to reflect what I was feeling at the time. I produced the song in a way that places youthful yet heartfelt lyrics about love and growing pains side by side with the instrumental’s deep sense of space. In that way, “Love Pain” represents the mixed emotions of the earliest romantic relationships we encounter in life. They shape who we are now for better or worse."
